LANGUAGE TRAINING (English Language for Literature Students - ELLS)

As the work of FCE expanded to foreign nations, especially into Africa, it became increasingly obvious that many who wanted to enroll for FCE courses were unable to do so, as their command of the English Language (the medium of instruction) was not good enough.  In March 2004 the first ELLS course was presented.

With a strong emphasis on the Word the course covers the four aspects for social and academic literacy:

     Speaking and

Methods used include

    Experiential situations

   Use of previous knowledge

   Grammar rules

   Spelling and Dictation

Jeanvion Banza, presently a teacher at our CTC, was one of the first students from the DRC to do this training.  His English has improved dramatically, so much so, that he could testify with confidence about being a Christ-centred teacher at the National Christian Teachers' Convention in Bloemfontein in 2010.

Jesus Christ making disciples through us, by building a highway of holiness through education and training.
